Engineer Reviewed
AI may help organise information or support calculations, but a technician makes the final decision.

Our commitment
Every suspension recommendation, diagnosis and engineering decision remains the responsibility of Mountain Race Shop and is reviewed by an experienced technician.
AI may help organise information or support calculations, but a technician makes the final decision.
We limit the personal information used with AI systems and never enter payment details, passwords or identity documents.
We use approved systems, restrict access and review outputs before anything is sent to a customer or used in the workshop.
How we use AI
Customer enquiries, booking administration, technical documentation, suspension calculations, marketing content, website support, workshop administration and internal knowledge management.
AI does not independently approve work, set pricing, diagnose a motorcycle, select a final suspension setup or make decisions that materially affect a customer.
Protecting your information
Where possible, names, phone numbers, email addresses, street addresses, registration numbers and other identifiers are removed before information is used with an AI tool.
Passwords, payment information, credit-card details, banking details, identity documents and private authentication information are not entered into AI systems.
Customer records remain within our approved business systems. AI tools are not treated as the official source of customer history, pricing or workshop records.
AI-generated text, calculations and recommendations are checked for accuracy, relevance, privacy and suitability before use.
Suspension and engineering data
Rider weight, motorcycle model, suspension settings, dyno results, service history, shim stacks and valving specifications may be used internally to support servicing and engineering work. This information is treated as confidential business and customer information.
We do not publish a customer's tuning information, service history or identifiable motorcycle data without permission.
Privacy principles
Mountain Race Shop aims to handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply to our operations. We collect only information reasonably needed for the service, use it for legitimate business purposes, protect it from unauthorised access and correct or remove it when appropriate.
We do not sell customer information. We do not intentionally provide customer information to third parties for unrelated advertising or AI training.
Security and governance
New AI tools are assessed for privacy, security, reliability and practical benefit before business use.
Access to customer and workshop information is limited to authorised people and protected by account security controls.
Technical outputs, customer communications, pricing, dates and booking information must be checked before use.
This policy and our internal procedures are reviewed when major AI systems are introduced and at least annually.
