Steering-head bearings and brakes
The fixed prices in this section apply to motocross and enduro motorcycles only. Adventure, road, trail and other motorcycles are call-and-quote because access, bodywork, caliper design and steering-head labour vary significantly.
MX / Enduro steering-head bearing check & adjustment

Check free play/notchiness, adjust preload where serviceable and report condition.
MX / Enduro steering-head bearing clean & regrease
From A$160
Strip sufficiently to clean, inspect, grease and correctly adjust reusable bearings.
MX / Enduro steering-head bearing replacement
From A$320 including a standard bearing kit
Remove old bearings/races, fit and grease replacement bearings, set preload and recheck steering. Unusually expensive or non-standard kits are confirmed first.
Brake pad inspection
No charge with suspension service
Pad thickness and obvious oil contamination checked while the motorcycle is in the workshop.
MX / Enduro brake pad replacement
A$45 labour per caliper + pads
Remove, inspect and clean caliper contact areas, fit pads and verify operation. Pad price is confirmed before fitting.
Adventure / road / trail / other
Call for quote
Brake-pad replacement and steering-head bearing work are quoted against the specific motorcycle before booking.
Oil-contaminated pads
Quote first
Leaking fork or shock oil can contaminate friction material. We will identify the cause and confirm pad/rotor work before replacement.

What is and is not fixed-price
Suspension services above are fixed for standard serviceable motorcycle components in normal condition. Brake-pad and steering-head fixed add-on pricing applies to motocross and enduro motorcycles only.
Adventure, road, trail and other motorcycles are quoted first because access, bodywork, bearing-kit cost and brake configuration can materially change labour and parts cost. We do not fit additional parts without confirming the price first.
